Saddle Up! is a collaborative art car project created by the Yellowstone Burners. It is based on a 35 foot long school bus with an added upper deck. The vehicle will remain street legal to drive with most modifications of decor being made once it arrives at the event location. It will be close to 28 feet tall at the top of the horn. Saddle Up! is a mobile care station as we can carry 130 gallons of water on board, offering free hydration drinks at public events.

For 2019, our team is redesigning the saddle and all exterior decorative elements to make it look even more artistic and realistic. Since October 2018, we have grown from a team of three to a team of 10 very talented folks. We are confident that we can bring this new design to life and we are having a lot of fun making it happen.
Our goal is to participate in public events year round in Cody, Park County, around Wyoming, and to neighboring states. In 2019, you can see Saddle Up! at the Yellowstone Beer Fest in Cody and at the Beartooth Music Festival in Clark.

Participants climb on board and enter our old western-styled interior, then climb up to our shaded deck area which features The Watering Hole saloon. Our drinks include tea, electrolyte drinks, pickle juice shots, and good ‘ol plain water. We have benches on the upper deck so folks can sit and relax in the shade of this old west style “saloon”.
With two 65 gallon tanks on board, we can serve over 1000 people with 16oz of water each. We can serve more than that with multiple gallons of our pre-made drinks on board as well. There will be no charge to enter, and nothing will be for sale; this art car and the experience of being on board are intended to be a gift to the public.

At night, we'll be all lit up, ensuring that from a distance Saddle Up! stands out against the night sky. We will be using lights to edge the saddle image and will play with having them underneath the fabric for a softer glow or edging on the outside for a brighter line. Either way, you should be able to see Saddle Up! from a distance.
